Asano Paper Moon collection.
Handmade in the Gifu prefecture of Japan for 90 years, this collection of rice paper table lighting designed by Shigeru Uchida in 1990, speak softly with their halcyon shape and warm diffusion. Asano delicately handcrafts each lamp using high grade Washi paper and a spiral rib of bamboo. The process involves wrapping the bamboo around wooden forms and then glueing and applying each panel separately until the entire surface has been papered.
The lamp adds an organic Wabi-Sabi component to your interior while providing a subtle warm glowing illumination.
